Glavine wins game number 298

Tom Glavine pitched a gem of a game and won his 298th game of his outstanding career and his 8th of this season. Lastings Milledge singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 8th. The Mets continue to leave runners on and looked terrible with two on in the seventh when Beltran and Wright struck out.

Hope Randolph shakes up his lineup a bit.

Sosa is back to pitch on Monday and Pelfrey moves to the bullpen. Wonder if Pelf is really setting up to be trade bait?

Mets play the final game of the four game set Sunday afternoon, then head out west to play the Padres and Dodgers (again).
