Sweep and Return to Normalcy

The Mets swept the A's and played two very good games (Friday and Sunday) and had a little bit of luck in their 1-0 win on Saturday. Normalcy to me means no more inter-league play. I think this is a waste of time and energy when the teams should be concentrating on teams in their leagues.
Now that we're back to playing National League teams, the Mets face the Cardinals for a four game series that will finish their long June homestand. After the Cardinals the Phillies and Mets play four in Philadelphia including a Friday night doubleheader to make up for one of the rain outs early in the season.
Tonight it's Jorge Sosa vs. Mike Maroth, the Cardinals newly acquired pitcher in a trade with Detroit. He's 5-2 with a 5.06 ERA with Detroit. Sosa is 6-3 with a 4.05 ERA and has had two straight rocky outings.
