After what seemed like a long difficult winter, the Mets are ready to welcome their 2008 pitchers and catchers. Along with Pedro, John Maine, El Duque, and Perez...they have a new anchor in Two-time Cy Young winner Johan Santana.
What I'm most excited about (along with the addition of Santana) is the new and improved Duaner Sanchez. He's in excellent physical shape, has been throwing for over a month and has no problems with this shoulder. I think he's the important piece to the bullpen that they lacked last year. If he is able to come back strong, I really think the Mets will be much better in the bullpen and we'll see a return to the team's pitching we saw only two years ago.
Though there's snow on the ground in NY, spring is in the air in Port Saint Lucie.
