One week from today, pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training in Port St. Lucie. It's hard to believe that we're almost ready to tackle the new season. With Santana joining a formidable starting pitching staff, I'm more confident than I was a few weeks ago about the Mets chances to truly have a successful season--meaning playoffs and World Series appearances (and victories).'
I'll be attending a spring game in March and will be at their first three games against the Marlins starting March 31st.
I plan on also attending some games on the road. Atlanta is a definite and maybe I'll fly to San Francisco (now that Bonds is finished playing) and see the Mets take on the Giants.
