According to Tim Kurkjian from ESPN, The Mets and Johan Santana have reached an agreement on a long-term contract....so the trade is done.
This is the biggest contract ever offered to a major league pitcher and I think he's well worth it.
The Met's now have a very formidable pitching staff and don't be surprised to see Perez and Martinez sign an extension for another turn in NY.
